SYNOPSIS

...An irregular goal as a revenge for a war that was absurd, the one between Argentina and England, for the conquest of the Falkland Islands narrated by Umberto Nigri through the moving and intense story of the meeting, after twenty-five years, between Miguel Savage, ex Argentinean soldier, and Terry Peck, hero of the English resistance, who have fought that war one, who was eighteen, against the other, who might have been his father. It was the 2nd of April 1983, when Gen. Leopoldo Galtieri, leader of the military government in Argentina, ordered the invasion of the islands, starting the war that cost the life of a 1000 soldiers between Argentinean and English, that left on the field 2000 wounded and following which at least 600 veterans committed suicide. Yet, of all that suffering, what is remembered is the goal scored by Maradona with his hand.

Shot between Argentina and the surreal landscape of the Falkland Islands, the documentary starts with sports to narrate about broken lives and home-comings, about the agony of mothers and wives as well as of the discovery of a deep friendship in the vain research of giving a meaning to sorrow.
